Walk on Water by Thirty Seconds to Mars

This song is like my “outro theme” or anthem for the end of my 2017…I made some big choices without certain safety nets in places because it was a gut/faith move I felt deep in my soul that it was the right thing to do and that I would be ok as long as I walked in faith. I heard this song a couple days after my plans set in motion and I’ve been playing it on loop ever since. It’s a powerful song, gorgeous male voices, powerful percussion and chanting war cries that dare to run towards the future I want with arms outstretched, no turning back. And I’m pumped.

I believe I can win this fight tonight.

It’s You by Super Junior

One of my all-time favorite Kpop songs! It sounds so dramatic and tragic and romantic! Gotta love Super Junior. ❤

Gypsy by Ronan Hardiman

I actually fell so in love with this song that I found and learned an official piano transcription of this melody in my own spare time. There is real magic in this melody, from the rhythm to the dancing melody. ❤

Trailer Music || Exodus: Gods and Kings

Firstly, this is fantastic music for a trailer. It hits all the right notes perfectly. I get chills almost every single time I listen to this song. It’s so haunting and grows to such an epic sound by its end. I love it so much. I also hold it very dear to my heart because it’s brought much of my own writing to vivid life in my imagination, more so than a lot of other songs. That sounds so dramatic, but as a writer, I cling to whatever can do that for me. I can see imagery of my own fantasies, vividly, to this piece of music. I just love that.

Echoes in Rain by Enya

Like with most artists, I always LOVE a select few from their discography and feel “meh” or unattached to the rest of it. Enya is one of those artists for me, I love a select few of her songs. This is one of them. It’s fairly new but it’s so peaceful and plucky! I listened to this a lot during a college math class so it reminds me of that a lot!

Chicken Hop by Ryan Taubert

This was a finalist entry to a Hans Zimmer competition and it totally stole my imagination and heart. I can see horses galloping and hear pounding hooves and buzzing dragonflies and feel the warm western sun. The energy is just incredible!
