One Million Voices by Two Steps From Hell

I have been a huge fan of Two Steps From Hell and composer Thomas Bergersen, I bought his CDs all the way back as a teenager. The youtube channel recently passed a million subscribers and this celebratory song was what we were gifted as a thank you. It’s such an energetic mixture of ethnic chants and western round-ups and an Arabian melody, to name just a few of the many world-wide inspired sounds captured within this piece. Enjoy!

Phantom by BLVCK CEILING

Don’t underestimate this song when it starts out; it might be tinkly piano and apprehension to begin with. Then that beat drops. This piece has become a personal favorite of mine when I heard it because it brought the villain to my long-time ongoing novel series to life in a fresh way that I hadn’t heard before. I can hear my character anew in this song; between the anxiety and delicate emotion of fear and the steady angry heavy beat of reckless choices and hate. Of the many ways music works in my head, bringing characters to life like this is maybe my favorite way.

Gypsy by Ronan Hardiman

I actually fell so in love with this song that I found and learned an official piano transcription of this melody in my own spare time. There is real magic in this melody, from the rhythm to the dancing melody. ❤

Beautiful Memories by Adrian von Ziegler

There’s a reason Adrian is one of my most favorite music composers and that I love almost every single song he’s composed: it’s because of the pure EMOTION and HEART that he puts into each piece. This song he wrote for his then long-distance girlfriend, now sweet wife, Carina. AND YOU CAN HEAR HIS LOVE AND LONGING FOR HER IN THIS PIECE. YOU JUST CAN. It’s so bittersweet. The yearning is incredible. I resonate with the emotion strongly being in a long-distance relationship myself. I can hear the pain and love because I know it myself, and it’s amazing to find something like that in a single instrument deliver song. ❤ Just wow.
